Medical Oxygen Regulators with Humidifier Bottle

Oxygen Bottle with Regulator

medical oxygen regulators are used for oxygen breathing in a hospital or at home. They are meant to be connected to high-pressure medical gas cylinders to decrease the outlet pressure and supply a stable low pressure for use.
The DSW-89 pressure gauge indicates the pressure level of the gas cylinder.

An oxygen regulator also referred to as an adjustable regulator, flowmeter or control valve, controls and measures oxygen flow to patients to provide safe and effective working pressure levels.
Most oxygen tanks come equipped with both a regulator and flowmeter integrated as one mechanical fitting.

A medical O2 regulator is a pressure regulator that controls the PSI (pounds per square inch) or flow of compressed medical oxygen from a tank to a medical device such as a flow meter, hose, or humidifier.
The oxygen regulator plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe delivery of oxygen from the cylinder to the user.
Reducing the PSI (pounds per square inch) of the compressed oxygen to a manageable level allows the oxygen to be directly connected to an oxygen delivery device safely.

Types of Oxygen Tank Regulators
Medical Oxygen regulators come in various types, depending on your application.
The types of oxygen regulators most commonly used are pediatric, laboratory, adjustable, standard, flow control and regulator & flowmeter combos.
Standard
Standard regulators, commonly used with a preset 50 PSI, maintain a constant and consistent oxygen output.
The user cannot adjust the delivery pressure or control or reduce the flow rate with standard regulators.

Adjustable
On the other hand, adjustable regulators let users control the PSI output within a specific range and have two gauges for monitoring oxygen levels and PSI output.
However, they don’t control the flow rate.

Flow Control
Flow Control regulators manage oxygen flow rate (LPM), have two gauges for oxygen level and LPM, come with a preset 50 PSI output, and offer variable flow ranges based on application.

Regulator & Flowmeter
These devices combine the functionality of a regulator and a flow meter, providing both control and measurement of oxygen flow.

Pediatric regulators are speciality regulators used for neonatal or low-flow applications—oxygen regulator medical applications for neonatal or pediatric care range from 200cc up to 1.35 lpm.
Lab regulators come in different PSI options, ranging from 0-15 PSI to 0-450 PSI.These are designed to create controlled environments. They should not be used in patient applications.
